Many aspects of Great Southern’s business require careful and mindful consideration to the safety of the public, neighbours and the wider community as a result of operations, including haulage of produce, fire management and the responsible usage and minimisation of fertilisers and chemicals.

Great Southern, together with its strategic partners, have systems in place to continuously improve its OHS performance and provide community and neighbour opportunity to communicate safe systems of work. Examples include the development of haulage schedules in liaison with schools, neighbour notifications prior to fire management activities and active involvement in regional fire fighting organisations through the provision of equipment and personnel.
