Great Southern donates the time and expertise of its employees as well as substantial funds to support a range of charitable initiatives in rural and regional areas. Over the past decade the company has donated in excess of $1million.

Great Southern also provides invaluable support at the grass roots level - to local schools, emergency service organisations, amateur sporting groups and clubs, and individuals in the communities in which they operate through donations, sponsorships, fundraising efforts and in-kind support.

In some states, the company’s own fire-fighting teams are registered rural fire (industry) brigades, enhancing the fire-fighting capacity in their regions, and are often the first or only crews available to fight fires on neighbouring and nearby rural properties and in national parks. 

Great Southern supports many groups and organisations with a focus on education and training, emergency services, the environment, youth and indigenous affairs.
